Holiday presents?
What kind of holiday presents should I give to the teachers at my son's daycare program (he's 2). He has blossomed so much there and I want to be able to show them how much we appreciate it. I was thinking maybe some kind of food basket that they could all share because there are 3 regular teachers then rotating students (it's through the local university) and not all the students will be around because of finals ect.. What do you think? Any other ideas?

- gift cards
- usually a gift basket or a certificate like to a coffee shop
- Great Idea!! My cousin and her family made homeade cookies and put them into wooden made small baskets from the Dollar Store Good luck!! Merry Christmas!!
- Coffee baskets are always nice you can put a nice coffee cup probubly like a travel mug for teachers and some good coffee or cappuccino and some baked goods. They will probubly love it!!
- maybe some special teacher statues, say favorite teacher or best teacher so they can either take it home or sit it on their desks, but have it always to remember and I believe it is inexpensive.
- sounds good.
- I think this is the best idea. Even homemade cakes or cookies may not be appreciated by anyone on a diet or watching their sugar but fruit can normally be enjoyed and appreciated by all.It is also easy to share.
- in the past years my teachers LOVED gift cards to restaurants. food baskets can also be nice if you know what they like. but i think gift cards is a very good and easy way to go
- I would start early like now and send some cookies or etc's then some other thing after the univ. students leave??
- Here's what I'd do. At Wal-Mart they have Coffee mugs, with a fancy coffee and like some cute little box or something. Simply, inexpensive, yet lovely. You don't want to give them some big extravagant gift, it might embarass them.
- They say now not to give gift cards because they are so easily lost, and there are hidden "use by" dates on them. If they don't use them by a date, they either lose them or they get charged a percentage. Maybe something they can use in their classroom? Some fruit? Nuts are touchy as many people are highly allergic to them. Some people can't even be around them if the nuts are are airborne in the least.
- That's a great idea. Harry and David's has some great gift baskets ranging from fruits and nuts to crackers and cookies. Everything in the baskets is fresh and delicious.
- Go with the gift basket full of treats. Some people are funny when it comes to homemade goods, so you might stick to store bought things like biscotti and coffee/tea. You could also add an assortment of little chocolates like Lindt truffles or Ghirardeli has a holiday variety pack that is yummy.
- I am going to make picture frames with my daughter. They sell them in the craft section at Wal-mart. Your son can put his own personal touches on them. It would put a smile on their face everytime they look at it!
