I need holiday gift ideas for in-laws?

this is the second christmas since i have been married and i would like to know what are some good ideas for gifts to give to my in-laws (2 sets). they are very generous with their gifts to us but we dont have much money to spend. i would like to give something homemade but i dont have any ideas.

1. hey you can make cookies... hehe.. or something they like very much or wine bottle.
2. Not knowing anything about your inlaws my suggestion is gift certificates to their favorite resturant. If you want homemade you may want to have planned that way in advance. But something simple is you can make them nice blankets for a throw or for their bed from fleece. Two-sided they have simple steps at the fabric store how to sew or do a non sew blanket too.
