Unusual Holiday Gifts

What are some unique/specialty stores in the Denver, CO area for buying unique souvenirs or gifts?

I'm staying in Littleton, CO until Sunday and I'm looking for some cool stores to buy a gift for my friend back home. I want to find some stores with unique gifts that you could only find here in the Denver area, but not too cheesy (not like a store that has shirts with Colorado on it lol). thanks!

1. Do you have access to a car? If so take a ride to Manitou Springs. The whole town is full of really cool shops.
2. Old town Littleton (I think it is called Main street) has some cute funky shops. Another good area for out-of-the-ordinary is Cherry Creek North. Not in the center but all the funky little shops from University to about Cook St all along 2nd and 3rd Ave. http://www.cherrycreeknorth.com
