NON christians, and NON jewish, What do you do during the december holidays?
I don't mean to insult Christians or jews: I'm not asking you, because I already know your answer. I want to learn something new. (If you do something unusual, though feel free to respond.) To the other religions or non religions: Do you celebrate an other holiday? Do you give gifts and party just for fun? Do you do anything at all? Please don't forget to tell me what religion you belong to! (if any) Oops. Sorry, spell check capitalised christians, when it corrected my spelling, I didn't capitalise anyones religion. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it! I party and give gifts to! I am: I am not a christian, (I may be some kind of pervert though). I'm asking because I like to learn new things. I think traditions of other cultures are often fascenating! (Sorry, spelling again! - to tired to remember how!)

- im atheist but i still celebrate Christmas. not the religious part but the gifts and partying part. wtf is wrong with getting a free gift? or getting drunk with friends? nothing. and no school. i love that time of year.
- None of your business you perverted christian. What's it to you anyway?
- Festivus! Aah, the pole devoid of tinsel, the feats of strength, and my favorite, the airing of grievances :)
- It's just about sharing gifts and stuff. We KNOW that santa is just our parents, besides it's a lot easier to just tell them what you want if you're still sharing gifts I'm christian, but I don't do God stuff in this holiday (does that make me an atheist? lol) Oh yeah, besides that... I just go to parties and stuff then play video games Christian
- Christmas has become more of a social holiday and celebration, rather than a religious one. I was born a Hindu (an agnostic now), and know of many non-Christians who celebrate Christmas. We have parties and get-togethers, with people from various faiths including Christians. I look forward to the midnight mass on Christmas eve (have attended several times in church) because the music is so beautiful. In fact, I don't feel an outsider on Christmas because the North American society is so inclusive. As for Hindu festivals, the biggest is Diwali (festival of lights) that takes place in fall based upon the lunar calendar (happens to be on Oct. 17 this year). Many people exchange gifts on this occasion, but I am only fond of the delicious Indian sweets!
- Have fun and over eat. On the watch night service at the baptist church and mass at the R.Catholic chapel which are only across the road from each other we wait for the church and chapel goers to come out to go home then we pelt them and their cars with snowballs and we ice the ground so they find it hard to walk so they take their time giving us more time to hit them then we run away screaming like banshees because it scares the church elders and young kids. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA You should try it.
- Try and find things to do. Shops and the gym are shut, there's a load of crud on telly and your relatives keep phoning you trying to get you to visit. I usually go running, then have a shower and then go out for a drive and see how many petrol stations are open.
- We distract ourselves from the fact it is the middle of winter. It's a tradition that goes back tens of thousands of years.
