What are some appropriate/ creative/unique/inexpensive gifts to get for parent's gifts for my wedding?

I'm getting married. My fiance and I want to get our parents thank you gifts for all they've done for us. What are some suggestions of gifts we can get them? We'd prefer one gift for each couple (his parents and my parents). We're open to something creative or unique but we want it appropriate, preferably no more than $60 and something we can order easily. We're 3 weeks away!!

  2. Congragulations!!!!!!! I think you should get them either gift cards to a store they like or a piece of furniture that they need or have been wanting.
  3. Anything personalized is good. Is there any chance you can snag some baby through teen photos of you and your fiancee, have them copied and then create a collage of the images and have it framed (or buy a frame from Wal-Mart or Michael's)? If you buy your own frame, you can stencil, paint or neatly hand write information around the frame like words of thanks for all they've done for you guys over the years, how much they mean to you, how much you appreciate them and their love, guidance and wisdom, etc. Congratulations on the wedding!! P.S. If you really want to order something vs. making it yourself, visit the ThingsRemembered website - they have some really great (and affordable) gifts. Lillian Vernon's website is also good for personalized things.

  5. I know this may sound corney, but when my eldest son was married, he and his wife to be took a moment at the beginning of the ceremoney to bring a red rose to each parent. She brought to her folks and my son brought to his father and I. It was a simple expression of the love they both had for all of us and it touched my heart more than they know. It has been thirteen years since that day and it is still my favorite memory.
  6. You can go to a "Things Remebered" store. Get a nice 8"10" picture frame for each couple. They should run you between $25-$50. Have it engraved with something like "True Love" or "Everlasting Love" or "I married the love of my life" They usually have it done in a few days. Good luck.
  7. well there is alot of things umm it depends on there personalitty ummm anything for the home is good umm books mybe like something that reminds them of a memory or an inside joke anything from the heart people love so anything you pick they would love!!! ohh only one rull nothing sexual because that might freak them out unless they are open like that then and only then can you give them something like that. if you sew or something than something home made is good.
  8. We just bought our parents digital picture frames. They can upload our wedding photos as soon as they come in! I'm considering adding some pictures before I give it to them as well.
  9. Something VERY simple and VERY low-budget would be a personalized handkerchief for each parent. For the personalization, think of something that really reflects your relationship with that parent. Like on my mothers, I may put "My Mother, My Best Friend" and for my dad I would put something like "ToThe First Man Who Had My Heart". It's a fitting gift since they will probably cry at least a few tears at your wedding, and its something sentimental they can keep close by forever.
  10. two sided frames, one side a child photo of you (for your parents) and him (for his parents) and in teh second side do you wedding photo and do an engraved message to them
