What are some unique yet inexpensive gifts for a best friend's wedding?

The groom is my best friend and the bride is a good friend as well. I'm thinking of something that could be of use to the both of them.

2. if they like certain sporting events (ex: major league baseball) you could spring for tickets for a few games for them. or if they like skiing, a pass for a couple days during the winter to their favorite resort. if you live near the ocean, maybe you can rent a place for them to "hideaway" in for a weekend...or even during the week. just make sure whatever you get them is something useful and something they won't have to worry about returning trust me, they are going to get a lot more household items than they know what to do with. we got 50 towels already and haven't married yet (in July)...and that means about 40 of them are going back because we already have an established household.
3. Hoew about a hot air balloon ride. Very romantic!

5. keepsakes after the sheets have been used the toster has blown up and the plates havew all been chipped the keepsakes will still be a reminder of their happy day they are never put on a gift list and are often forgotten by guests think of something personal to them both if you look around their are many available what about a time capsule or a picture frame with both thier names or just the married name with what it stands for (i cant remember what its called) my best friend who didnt have a lot of money bought 2 champangne glasses and painted our names on and the date etc and decorated with horseshoes and stuff they stand pride off place in my cabinet get a plain plate and some coloured marker pens at wedding get all to sign it (i think you bake it on low heat in oven to fix) then present to couple take photoes at wedding the official ones will be beautiful but the fun ones when they not expecting will bring giggles try unique gifts on web some are more unique than others but it will give you some ideas are they having a guest book if not get one make it your job to get everybody to write a few words of wisdom in it
